OVERVIEW
The Ives Dairy project started primarily as a renovation of an existing bathroom. The owner wanted to connect the shower area to the exterior through sliding doors while utilizing existing block walls to screen and provide privacy. The project expanded to reconfigure the master suite which was a large undefined space that was sized for two rooms but was formally only one room.

The strategy for this project was to use millwork as a means to connect both spaces through the shared materiality while expanding the central portion of the millwork to create a walk-in closet that acted both to define each space on either side of the closet while adding a useful piece of storage space for the owners.
