Overview:
In the case of seawalls, which are a major infrastructural investment for many municipalities, having a visualization of both how the system could grow or fail would be critical. These analyses are often done but are typically represented via architectural or engineering plans that can often be difficult to ready or understand. Using technology such as XR application on site to show how coral could grow over the structure, which is particularly beneficial for its efficiency but is particularly slow in reality could be used to visually demonstrate what the seawall systems and related ecological life could like in that particular area over many cycles and timelines. Additionally, the same process could help visualize what failures may look like, such as land erosion over time or destruction of the seawall through geometric and rendered overlays.
